This waiver program provides environmental accessibility adaptations (home modifications to aid in self-care) in the home and community to older adults or adults with disabilities who qualify.

New Opportunities Waiver
This Medicaid Waiver program provides services, including environmental accessibility modifications, designed to assist people with living as independently as possible.
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program
This program provides affordable rental housing with individualized services to people with severe and complex disabilities, enabling them to live successfully in the community. It includes making the unit where the tenant lives accessible.
Residential Options Waiver
This waiver program provides supports and services that assist people with transitioning from intermediate care facilities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to their own home in the community. Services may include environmental accessibility adaptations.
Louisiana State Fall Prevention Coalition
The Louisiana State Falls Prevention Coalition provides information to help prevent falls and fall-related injuries among older adults in Louisiana.
Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Program
The State Assistive Technology Grant Program, funded under the Assistive Technology Act of 2004, supports comprehensive, statewide programs in each state that improve the provision of assistive technology (often home modification-related) to individuals with disabilities of all ages.
Senior Home Repair
The program performs safety reviews relative to the need for home repairs and modifications and provides education on home safety. Minor home repairs, small modifications, and wheelchair-accessible ramps are available for no charge.
Maine Family Caregiver Support Program: Care Partner Supports
The programs and services described below allow care partners the time to do things other than providing care, such as: practicing self-care, running errands, visiting family members and friends, going to medical/dental appointments, and resting.
Home Care
This program provides supportive community services to older adults and adults with disabilities in order to avoid or delay nursing home placement including environmental modifications,
Adults with Brain Injury
This program is for individuals 18 years and older who have sustained an acquired brain injury due to an insult to the brain resulting directly or indirectly from trauma, infection, anoxia, or vascular lesions, and not of a degenerative or congenital nature. The waiver provides services such as environmental adaptations that support community living.
