Housing Emergency Repair Program
The Delaware Nation (DN) Housing Emergency Repair Program of the Delaware Tribe of Western is available to all eligible low-income DN elders or individuals with disabilities within the DN jurisdiction. Examples of medical emergency repairs may include, but are not limited to, providing accessibility such as ramps, grab bars, and accessible toilets.
Home Chores and Minor Repair Program
The Pueblo of Isleta has a Home Chores and Minor Repair Program which provides a part-time handyman who conducts minor home repair services for individuals 60 years of age or older. Services include replacements to windows, doors, screens, and glass and door knobs/handles.
Home Repair Programs
The agency has access to grants, low-interest loans, and cost-sharing programs to assist eligible households with home repairs in some localities. These home repair programs are operated by Cayuga County Homesite. They help with necessary home repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
Elderly/Disabled Assistance Program
The Walker River Paiute Tribe Housing Authority has an Elderly/Disabled Assistance Accessibility Program. It provides assistance for the elderly/disabled in the repairs and rehabilitation of existing homes of low-income elderly/disabled persons to ensure access to their homes and barrier free bath facilities; for safe and sanitary conditions, and a better living environment.
